There are a number of opportunities for adults:
IHS Choir is the adult choir that normally helps lead worship during the 10:45 service. They are a group that produces some wonderful music, all the while having a lot of fun. They rehearse Thursday evenings at 7:30 — and those interested in singing are encouraged to stop by.
Prayers and Quilts (also know as P’s and Q’s) is a gathering of folks who want to learn and practice quilting. They also spend time supporting one another with prayer.
Thursday Night Suppers are something of a tradition at United Presbyterian — and for good reason. Folks gather at 6:00 pm for a pot luck supper, bringing a dish to pass and their own plate settings. Then at about 6:30 pm, a really interesting program follows on a wide variety of topics.
Trope Troup is an informal theatrical group that produces a wide variety of plays and occasional dramas.
Sunday Morning Adult Classes meet from 9:30 am — 10:30 am. The group explores various faith-related topics, often doing Bible study.
Whitechapel Ringers is a hand bell choir that rehearses on Tuesday mornings and plays at a number of congregations.
